Derwent Reservoir, Northumbrian Water, 2015

I’ve been shooting reservoirs and anglers for Northumbrian Water. My fold up bike has been invaluable, as has the insect repellant!

Anglers are a lovely bunch, especially considering the peace, solitude and silence they were enjoying before a photographer turns up. I’ve learned about casting and bait and how fish behave. DId you know they don’t have eyelids ?

Northumbrian Water’s reservoirs are great to visit even if you’re not an angler, with an abundance of wildlife, particularly birds, plus peace and quiet in bucket loads.
