Athens November 2012

A portrait of a beautiful and remarkable city ; the classical architecture at this moment in time. I found it a city of two halves, there is hardship and protest and desparation and there’s also cappuccino supping in squares. A protest can be going down the street and it’s as if it’s not there, to some it’s just invisible, so become a part of life. I spent my year off working in Greece and I’ve got a soft spot for it. But why anyone thought that they could function in the same way as northern european countries, is beyond me. I went to Athens for four days in November 2012. The Acropolis Museum is worth the trip on it’s own. See more of the photos I took here
